The Miami is a popular flat ride built around a long row of seats carried on two rotating mechanical arms. The arms lift and swing the whole seating platform while spinning the row clockwise and counter-clockwise, so riders feel sudden drops, fast shifts in direction, and brief moments of weightlessness as they crest the top of each rotation. It hits a rare sweet spot — thrilling enough to excite teenagers and older riders, but approachable enough to stay busy all day — which makes it one of the most dependable earners on a midway.
